I really liked this book. I picked it up because I love old Hollywood movies/stars but when I read it I found out there was a lot more to it than that. The main character's mom is an alcoholic, has been married 7 times, and is about to marry again. Maybelline (Maybe) runs away from home after an incident with her mother's latest fiance. She goes to LA trying to find her biological father, the only man her mom didn't marry. It deals with a lot of serious topics, including drinking, rape, and sexism, but it was a very interesting story and I would highly recommend it.
