Would you recommend this book? If so, who would you recommend it to, and why? If not, why not?
Keeper by Kathi Appelt was a fun read. It is about a 10 year old girl named Keeper. Her mermaid mother Maggie Marie swam away when she was three and keeper is determined to find her. Alone in a tiny boat with only her dog BD she is rowing out to the sand bar on the blue moon where mermaids gather to find her mermaid mother and ask for help.
I would recommend this book to people who like realistic fiction but with a tinge of magic.
