Eleanor and Park By: Rainbow Rowell

Describe a part of the book that made you feel something strongly (i.e. something that made you cry, laugh, get really angry, etc.).

In the beginning of the book when Eleanor, the new girl, walked onto the bus I felt horrified by what she faced. The students on the bus did not only not let her sit down, they taunted her and called her names. The only student who let her sit down swore at her. It is upsetting how not welcoming people can be in that society. I found Eleanor's experience very real to what some students face all over the world. I am saddened by they have to deal with. It is time for people to become kinder to others not just in this instance but in many others. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell made me feel many different emotions making it a great read.
