One part of the book that made me feel strongly was the part when one of the main cowboys of a ranch, and a good friend of Jamie's was found out about being a un-documented immigrant in the U.S.A. It made me feel strongly because this particular cowboy had been in the states for a while and had the right to be there. Jamie felt strongly about it because he was in the U.S., and in Guatemala, where he had to flee from because of a dangerous gang and death threats, his abuela had been badly hurt and died and there was nothing he could do about it. Here he was right by the detention camp so he could do something. The book is about Jamie trying to make a difference and getting his friend back.
