Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

If you were written into this book, what would your role be, and why?

Catching Fire is the sequel to The Hunger Games. Ever since Katniss Everdeen won the 74th annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark, she has been living in the Victors' Village, with Peeta and District 12's only other victor, Haymitch Abernathy. That is, until it's time for the reaping of the 3rd Quarter Quell. Every 25 years, there is still the annual Hunger Games, but with a twist. For the first Quarter Quell, the districts each voted for which two 12-18 year olds would represent their district in the Hunger Games. For the second Quarter Quell, which is the one that Haymitch won, there was double the amount of tributes, so instead of 24 tributes, (2 from each district) there were 48 tributes. For the 3rd Quarter Quell, all tributes were to be drawn from the existing pool of victors. For District 12, this meant that Katniss was going to be their female tribute, as she was the only female victor in District 12 (there were only ever 4 victors from District 12 in the history of the Hunger Games, and one of them was dead) and either Peeta or Haymitch were going to be the male tribute for District 12.

If I were written into this book, I'd want to be Johanna Mason of District 7, who won her Games by pretending to be weak and scared so no one would pay attention to her, and then hen there were only a few tributes left, she surprised everyone with how well she worked with her axe and killed everyone left in the arena. (Which makes sense because she comes from District 7, which is the district of lumber.) I would want to be Johanna Mason because she is very outspoken and stands up for what she believes in.
