Just Jaime by Terri Libenson
Jaime noticed that
her friends in her "group", Maya, Celia and Grace are acting
different. Maya and Grace always agree and follow Celia. All they want to talk
about is boys, makeup, and clothes. When Celia used to tease Jaime, Maya would
stick up for her. But all Maya does is agree with Celia. Maya feels like Jaime
is less mature and doesn't like the things she, Celia and Grace do. And that
Maya, Celia and Grace have grown up but not Jaime. Maya really wants to be best
friends with Celia. Celia is mature, popular, and being around Celia makes Maya
feel noticed. But being friends with Celia comes with a price; Maya has betray
her used-to-be-bestie Jaime. But will the last day of school be full of fun,
happieness and friendships? Or will it be drama, tears, and betrayal?
