The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Describe a part of the book that made you feel something strongly (i.e. something that made you cry, laugh, get really angry, etc.)

The Hate U Give is about a black teenage girl - Starr Carter - who witnesses her friend Khalil get shot by a white policeman even though he hadn't done anything to break the law. One part of this book that made me feel strongly was when Khalil got shot. It made me angry that a policeman would shoot a teenage boy when he hadn't done anything wrong.
